He takes the form of a very large, annoying owl.

Bassgil created the Whirlpool Galaxy two thousand years ago.

If you believe in Bassgil, he will celebrate by creating some galaxies.

If you do not believe in Bassgil, he will destroy your favourite dwarf planet.

Bassgil's most sacred site is Ringsted in Denmark.

Bassgil's Holy Commandments

1. Hide from indigo turtles for they are unholy.

2. Walk at least seven thousand metres per day.

3. Do not fashion models of living things.

4. Do not make images of living things.

5. You must pray to Bassgil eight times a day.
